The Gift & the Stager

The Gift and The Stager are the third and sixth components of a seven part work titled Seven Stages of Desire. The work is based around the idea of an imaginary life but has its genesis in a personal loss. The work employs the imprecise gesture of communication on a physical, psychological and emotional level. The use of the body as tool or container began with my previous career as a ballet dancer. This series uses these early beginnings very directly and explores concepts of mortality, spirituality, vulnerability and wonder, love and loss.
